GIM04E – sub-THz HV positioner with frequency extender mount
Modular HV positioner for sub-THz 3D antenna testing. The integrated frequency extender mounts allow for direct waveguide interface to the DUT and to the probe.
Fast Synchronized Trigger (FST) option provides a real-time external trigger signal to the VNA to enable continuous 3D data capture.
For a positioner without extender mounts, look for GIM04 (2-axis) or GIM04X (3-axis).

ROBUST AND ACCURATE- All gears in GIM04 are made of precision machined Delrin material for higher strength, precision, and long-life span. Two compatible base types are available: one has standard resolution with 12-bit absolute encoder, the other one (H-Base) with a 20W motor has a 20-bit absolute encoder built-in.
EXTENDER MOUNTS- GIM04E feature build in mounts on the positioner DUT platform side and on the probe side. With EXTxx frequency extender kits, MilliBox can include VNA frequency extenders from Eravant for a complete sub-THz solution up to 330GHz.
CABLE ROUTING- To bring power, control, or RF to the DUT efficiently, GIM04 provides pass-thru channels at the center of each rotation axis and numerous anchor points along the path.
FAST SYNCHRONIZED TRIGGER (FST) OPTION- This option provides a BNC connector which carries the real-time trigger signal and connects to the VNA’s trigger input. The MilliBox positioner controller software configures the instrument in external trigger mode and initiates capture at user specified angular intervals on the fly. As a result, the positioner sweeps horizontally and vertically continuously in a zigzag pattern and collects all the data directly from the instrument without pausing, which reduces the sweep capture time significantly.
