Applications
The BFx-02 Frequency Extension Base is purpose-built to support high-frequency test applications across advanced RF and microwave industries. It enables efficient, scalable measurement setups for automotive radar systems, 5G beamforming, telecommunications infrastructure, and satellite communications equipment. In aerospace and defense, it supports radar system development and validation, while in production environments it streamlines mmWave antenna and component testing. By simplifying frequency extension architectures, enabling parallel test configurations and enabling multiple test stations at a lower cost, the BFx-02 helps engineers accelerate development, improve throughput, and reduce system complexity across these demanding applications.
Software
The BFx-02 Frequency Extension Base comes with all the software features engineers have come to expect, at no additional cost. Standard software features include:
- Linear/logarithmic sweeps with multiple trace formats
- Time domain and gating conversion
- Frequency offset mode
- Fixture simulation (embedding/de-embedding)
- 16 independent channels with up to 16 traces each
- Markers with marker search tools and marker math, various conversion algorithms, and limit tests for pass/fail criteria, etc.
- Test Automation programming in LabView, Python, MATLAB, .NET, etc.
