GIM1D is a single-axis gimbal compatible with all MilliBox mmWave chambers. It is ideal for the times when the device-under-test (DUT) is much wider than a two-axis gimbal can accommodate and when an azimuth sweep is sufficient. The DUT is mounted on the laser-guided rotating platform. The gimbal is controlled over a simple USB connection with software (source provided) containing all the functions and API to run and plot a full azimuth sweep at up to 1 degree resolution. The outcome of the sweep is a comma separated value (.csv) heat-map file listing all captured positions and captured data.
